Kalib DuArte is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter who blends traditional country-rock and folk with electronic production. Way to Somewhere

A traveler hums internal reflections while looking out of a restaurant window. He sees people dashing to and fro in a crowded plaza, trying to avoid the rain and it's consequences.

One rainy afternoon, a friend who had moved to England, Edward Thomas Keller, posted a message that read, "I'm in the doldrums and can't work on music". I replied,

One rainy afternoon, a friend who had moved to England, Edward Thomas Keller, posted a message that read, "I'm in the doldrums and can't work on music". I replied, "write me a song to sing by the end of the day". Within a few hours, the demo for 'Way to Somewhere' was in my hands. Producer Tyrone Stanford listened, got jazzed, and created a whole new arrangement using edgy guitars, pizzicato strings, bass slides, and RnB back up singers. What else do you hear in there?
